But what is a trigger?
jg
A trigger is a certain factor in bringing on a migraine attack. Triggers are usually from foods, scents in the environment, medications, or from getting irregular hours of sleep. Very common dietary triggers are yellow cheeses, red wine, and citrus fruits. Environmental scents or medications can also cause a migraine, but sometimes these triggers are related to your dietary triggers. For example, if citrus fruits are a trigger for you, the smell of citrus or citrus ingredients in a medication could trigger a migraine. Having irregular hours of sleep can also trigger a migraine.
